RCFL Operator & Junior Fireman Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: (As on 01.03.2022)

1. Operator (Chemical) Trainee –

1) Qualification:

Full time & regular B.Sc.(Chemistry) Degree from UGC / AICTE recognized University / Institution with Physics as one of the subject during any of the 3 years course of B.Sc. Degree and The National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT). NCVT in the Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) i.e. AO (CP) Trade. The NCVT in AO (CP) Trade is necessarily be completed after passing of B.Sc.(Chemistry) Degree.

Minimum Percentage: The candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in last year (or Average / Aggregate of last two semesters) of B.Sc.(Chemistry) Degree (50% for SC/ST category candidates).

OR

2) Qualification:

a) Full time & regular Three Years' Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology from UGC / AICTE recognized University / Institution and one-year training (BOAT) under the Apprentices Act-1961 (Amendment 1973).

Or

b) The Candidates with HSC(Science) and direct admission to second year/ 3rd Semester of Three Years' Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology from UGC / AICTE recognized University / Institution and one-year training (BOAT) under the Apprentices Act-1961 (Amendment 1973).

The one-year training (BOAT) should necessarily be completed after passing Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology.

Minimum Percentage: The candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in last year (or Average / Aggregate of last two semesters) in Diploma Course (50% for SC/ST category candidates).

OR

3) Qualification:

a) 4 years' (8 Semesters) or 31/2 years' (7 Semesters) full time & regular Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Technology under Sandwich pattern from UGC / AICTE recognized University / Institution. Or

b) The Candidates with HSC(Science) and direct admission to second year/ 3rd Semester of 4 years' (8 Semesters) or 3% years' (7 Semesters) full time & regular Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Technology under Sandwich pattern from UGC / AICTE recognized University/ Institution.

Minimum Percentage:  The candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in last year (or Average / Aggregate of last two semesters) in Diploma Course (50% for SC/ST category candidates) under Sandwich Pattern (04 or 31/2 years' course including one-year industrial training).

Additional Concession for Children / family members of the victims of 1984 riots - 5 years.

OR

4) Qualification: 

Full time & regular B.Sc.(Chemistry) Degree from UGC / AICTE recognized University/ Institution with Physics as one o•the subjects during any of the 3 years course of B.Sc. Degree.

Minimum Percentage:  The candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in last year (or Average / Aggregate of last two semesters) in B.Sc.(Chemistry) Degree Course (50% for SC/ST category candidates).

Experience as on 01.03.2022:  The candidate must possess 2 years' work experience preferably in Fertilizer or Chemical industry (Pesticides, Agro chemical, Chior-Alkali, Organic Chemical Manufacturing) having continuous / batch process and performing the job in Process/Production Deptt. Experience should be after acquiring above prescribed qualification. Period of Training including Apprentice Training will not be considered as experience.

5) Qualification:

a) Full time & regular Three Years' Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology from UGC / AICTE recognized University / Institution. Or

b) The Candidates with HSC (Science) and direct admission to second year/ 3rd Semester of Three Years' Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology from UGC / AICTE recognized University / Institution.

Minimum Percentage:  The candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in last year (or Average / Aggregate of last two semesters) in Diploma Course (50% for SC/ST category candidates).

2. Junior Fireman Gr-II –

Qualification:. SSC with 6 months' full time fireman certificate course from State Fire Training Center, Govt. Institute (SFTC)/ recognised by Government of India. Distance learning / Correspondence / Part-time course will not be acceptable. The candidate shall possess valid Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving License. Learner license will not be acceptable.

Experience:  Minimum one-year experience in 'Industrial Fire-fighting'. Experience should be after acquiring above prescribed qualification. Period of Training including Apprentice Training will not be considered as experience.

Age Limit: (As on 01.03.2022)

1. Operator (Chemical) Trainee - Upper Age Limit as on 01.03.2022: 29 years for Unreserved/EWS Category, For SC / ST Category - 34 years, For OBC Category - 32 years, For PwBD Category (General) - 39 years, For PwBD Category (SC/ ST) - 44 years, For PwBD Category (OBC) - 42 years. Additional Concession for Children / family members of the victims of 1984 riots - 5 years.

2. Junior Fireman Gr-II - For SC / ST Category - 34 years, For OBC Category - 32 years. Additional Concession for Ex-Serviceman/ Children / family members of the victims of 1984 dots - 5 years

RCFL Operator & Junior Fireman Selection Process 2022:

RCFL may follow the following process to select the candidates.

(a) The selection process for the positions in worker's category of Operator (Chemical) Trainee and Junior Fireman Grade II comprises of Online Test and Trade Test.

Online Test:

i. Eligible candidates will be required to appear for computer based online objective type test, information for which will be provided in the Admit card.

ii. The online test will be conducted at the centers in cities of Mumbai and Nagpur. Medium of Test will be in Marathi, Rajbhasha (Hindi) and English.


Age Limit:
  • Operator Chemical Trainee - 29 years for UR/EWS, 34 years for SC/ST  and 32 for OBC
  • Junior Fireman - 34 years for SC/ST  and 32 for OBC
